Inventories and Insurance

Yesterday we finished an inventory report on a 5 story office block in the heart of central London. The new company that has taken the lease on instructed us to carry out a commercial property inventory as their insurer said it is something that they advise on getting carried out.

This seems more common now, that insurance companies are advising their clients that having a full inventory in place to include all their computers and furnishings makes a real difference if the need arises to make an insurance claim. Our commercial inventory report will show the property and its entire contents prior to any damage or theft within the offices.

This would be very useful to the company tenant if anything such as this happens to them and their insurer has said it will also increase the speed at which the claim will go through and payment made/works organised.
